Debby Caven, a classroom teacher, with over 28 years of teaching experience, started Digital Touch Education. This organization was built with the inspiration of the possibilities offered by introducing new types of technology in schools today. Today, Debby creates Staff Development that focuses on technology and assisting teachers in their desire to educate the “whole student” as well as making this education authentic and meaningful through differentiation. She believes that the blend of her 28 years of teaching, her 6 years of Staff Development and her personal passion for technology will meet the evolving needs of teachers as they connect curriculum with the technology tools of today within the 21st century classroom.
Debby has a B.S. & a MEIT, and is a retired educator from the Mequon-Thiensville School District in Mequon, Wisconsin. Presently she is a certified online instructor, educational consultant and SMART Certified Trainer. She also has been trained by Intel Computers for the One-to-One Institute.
Debby was a Mequon-Thiensville Teacher of the Year, a member of Who's Who of American Teachers, Biltmore's Who's Who of Executives and Professionals, has presented at WEMTA (2013 & 2012), ISTE in San Diego (2012), The One-to-One Conferences in Des Moines, Iowa (2012) and Lake Geneva, Wisconsin (2011) and WAMLE (2011). She is also an adjunct professor at Viterbo University of Milwaukee. Her passion for technology integration in the classroom was ignited in 2008 when she earned her Master's in Educational Instructional Technology from Cardinal Stritch University.
